Many home buyers are unaware of the difference in buying a new home vs. a resale home.  However, even more new home buyers don’t know that there is a great deal of difference between buying a custom home vs. buying a new “spec” home.  Building a custom home can be a unique and exciting experience for those that have never done it before.  The Parks of Plaquemines, so far, has a unique variety of many different kinds of custom homes that have already been built in the subdivision.  The Builders at The Parks of Plaquemines are used to building custom, and they take a great deal of time, care, and joy out of designing and building a “one-of-a-kind” home for their home buyers.

If you have never built a custom home before, you can read more about the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) of home buying in order to make a decision as to whether you would like to build a fully custom home or start with an established floorplan and then “tweak” the floorplan from there.  Whatever your decision – semi-custom or fully custom – at The Parks of Plaquemines, you will find an experienced and qualified Builder that is ready to help you fulfill your homeownership dreams.

If you are already working with an Architect, Designer, or Builder, that is absolutely no problem.  All you have to do is submit your design to the Architectural Control Committee (ARC) in order to receive approval for your floorplan and builder.
